Mississippi Leaders: Biloxi Finally Seeing Green in GO Zone
Two years after it was signed into law, the Gulf Opportunity Zone Act, or GO Zone, has kicked development into high gear along the Mississippi coast. GO Zone, which was established in 2005 after hurricanes Katrina and Rita, creates tax incentives and bond provisions for investors who rebuild along the gulf coast. In Biloxi, Miss., that means aggressive progress in the building of developments and casinos.
"Every day there is a new step on the road to recovery. People are discovering that Biloxi and Mississippi are doing remarkably well," says Biloxi mayor A.J. Holloway. More >
